Pluto's Kitchen
Performance, 2017
Comparing planet Pluto's exit from our planetary system (Pluto was denounced as a dwarf planet by NASA in 2006) to Britain's vote for Brexit in 2016, Pluto's Kitchen compares shifting borders, geographies and cultural isolation.
The performance is set around a dinner table, through a set of dishes prepared around the theme of a break up. A personal break-up story, England's break up from the EU and Pluto's break up from the planetary system are enacted through break-up letters read by the actors.
