IŞIL EĞRİKAVUK 

I choreographed this photo on the day, when İstanbul's 3rd Bridge was ceremonially connected from one end to the other. In the background, one can see the celebratory ceremony still going on. This work is a satirical criticism to the official decisions that are made regarding Istanbul's urban and water policies, and how the construction of the long debated new bridge has destroyed the city's remaining forest lands.

 

While depicting the connection of the two geographical lands, the photo also absurdly depicts the uniting, connecting, and disconnecting of human bodies due to human trafficking and migration over the sea.
